Introduction

Multimedia-Cartography is a group of multimedia projects. As the name implies cartography is the main issue of these projects. Multimedia-cartography is based on traditional cartography and is its further development .

The concept of multimedia cartography as well as its differences to traditional cartography is discussed in this unit. You will learn what interactivity of an application is and you will get to know the difference between various map types.
