1.5.2. The WebPark portal
A set of operations needed to be implemented on the client to allow it to present the cached information from the server to the users. These were encompassed within a three-tier architecture that was implemented on the client. The lowest tier consisted of the different types of cached information harvested from the server. In the middle tier were a set of plugable low-level modules that provided basic units of functionality. These modules collectively comprised the WebPark Portal. By glueing these modules together in different ways (the so-called 'business logic') end-user services could then be created. You have seen examples of these services already in the WebPark demo.
